The Pragmatics 634 ProSurveyor instrument, now manufactured, serviced and calibrated by Gulf Coast TMC, is the latest version of a unique product line originally developed by Richard Motsinger of St. Louis. Integrally built as part of a safety lantern, this Pragmatics unit is a rugged, reliable Methane leak detection tool well known in the field of gas pipeline leak detection equipment.
In pipeline leak detection work, the stability of the dual-sensor principle enables the supersensitive metal oxide detector to give practical indications down to 1 ppm methane, rivaling the sensitivity of the more complex and expensive hydrogen flame ionizations detector often used in this service. The Model 634 ProSurveyor is designed specifically for DOT Class 2 and 3 gas pipeline leak surveys of underground and above ground transmission lines. Pragmatics Fire Arson Detector Model 626 Trooper II is a dual sensor accelerant detector designed for the arson investigator. Durable MOX sensors are paired and response balanced to eliminate nuisance water vapors and pyrolitic materials vapors which are common interferences to most commercially available single sensor instruments. With sensitivity down to 1 ppm, dual sensor Pragmatics arson instruments will find trace accelerant in 85% of the samples tested. For superior drip and pour location, the Trooper 2 is fitted with an LED meter for tracing rising and falling concentrations of gas, from 1 ppm through 1% gas (10,000ppm).
